Residence Hall Use Policies

Bedding and Linens
McPherson College does not provide bedding and linens for those guests staying in the residence halls. We recommend that those guests staying in the residence halls bring the following items to make their stay more comfortable (all beds are single size and use “twin” size sheets):
Pillow
Sheets (fitted & flat)
Blanket
Towel and Washcloth
Check-in and Checkout
College staff members will complete check-in and checkout. We will have keys available for a block of time agreed upon by the Events Coordinator and the contact person with your organization. Please alert college staff to members of your group not checking in at the specified time. Each guest staying in the dorm will be asked to sign a Conference Registration Form upon sign in and College Staff will use this form upon check-out.
Dorm Room Keys
Each guest is issued one (1) key to the room they are occupying for the length of their stay. The organization contact has the choice to opt out of giving each guest a key and retaining all keys.
Lost keys will result in a charge of $50 to the organization renting the facilities. The Conference Registration Form, which is signed by each guest, explains that lost keys carry the $50 charge. However, the organization is ultimately responsible if the guest does not pay the Lost Key fee.
Meals
McPherson College ’s Food Service Director will contact you if your organization will be eating on campus. You will have some flexibility on meal choices and times.
Telephone
A Phone Line is available in each dorm room – if you would like to have access to local calls or receive calls from home, you will need to bring your own phone. Please contact college staff to determine the phone number and extension at which you can be reached.
